Today we’d like to introduce you to Mason.
Hi Mason, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
It all started back in 2017, I didn’t know it at the time but I started painting really just for fun and as a way to express myself, and over the course of my creative journey, it grew from just a hobby to me realizing this is a business and I can be very successful in it. I’ve been very blessed to meet amazing people and have some amazing opportunities to help my art take over. The support of my friends and family also plays a huge part of my success and seeing how my art could be successful.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has been more so up and down, with life happening and all. Sometimes not having the money to get art supplies, or having to put my creative events on hold, family troubles, etc you know life. Regardless it’s been a beautiful journey, and I’m learning as I go.
One of the bigger struggles is getting people to love my style of art because it does tend to be a little dark, however, without dark, there is no light. Transportation issues, family drama, and sometimes life just happens; either way, I’m grateful. Reaching a huge following and gaining the support from the right people.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
What I do: abstract artist. Art show and creative event curator. Aspiring paid full-time muralist.
What I specialize in: abstract art that helps people in learning more about themselves. Spiritual art.
What am I known for: abstract art used to help people learn more about them selves. Hosting and curating events.
What am I most proud of: The amount of people my art has touched and the messages they take in. I love that my art has given me the opportunity to be more connected to the people. It’s a great feeling to know my work inspires and helps people in numerous ways which is what I intend for it to do.
What sets me apart from others: Simply put that my art is intentionally created to help people take a bigger look at themselves and help them to open up by taking spiritual concepts and hidden messages and making them dig deep to find their truth. I like to stand out. My art is not for everyone. It’s either you gravitate to it or you don’t.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Definitely seeing more creative collaboration in regard to the art world. More murals. More doors are being opened into the fashion world etc. lots more creatives becoming full-time artists.
