Meet Marc Hogan of Brooklyn Grown®

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marc Hogan.

Hi Marc, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The idea for this business came to me while leaving work after a fellow coworker was let go from the company I wanted to create something that would supplement income and eventually become full-time. This would provide freedom to create and pursue other endeavors. It started with car decals and eventually expanded to clothing and other accessories. Our goal is to sell products in major retail locations.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The pandemic affected our ability to sell products and fund business operations. A large portion of sales was generated with customers in physical locations. The business model was changed primarily to the e-commerce environment. Nothing can replace the in-person experience with customers. We are trying our best to move forward after losing momentum for two years.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Brooklyn Grown®?
We are a minority-owned clothing company that provides high-quality products for men, women, and children. We also provide accessories to complement our clothing. Our designs are contemporary and suitable for all ages. Our dedication to quality provides a great experience for customers long after a sale is complete. We pride ourselves on retaining customers. I am most proud of the fact that we sell our products in the place that shaped who we are. Brooklyn was the true inspiration for the clothing line. It is amazing to operate a business in the place we call home.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Watching the excitement of customers when they discover our products and learn about our business. It’s worth all the effort and late nights we dedicate to create that experience.
