Today we’d like to introduce you to Mohd Rahil.
Hi Mohd, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Since childhood, I was very much interested in content writing. I started my writing career with a poetry that got published in the school magazine when I was in class 9th. This boosted up my confidence and I started improving my writing skills and started giving more time to it. I used to write for school magazines newspaper editorials. When I was in class 11th, I got an opportunity to get published in an anthology book and that was the turning point of my career. I started participating in different anthologies, writing competitions, challenges, events and started winning it too. I was ranked 1st in writing competition organized by “Indian Writer’s Adda”. After that, I never looked back and always worked for more. I published my own anthologies and started compiling books. My first compiled book was “peaceful soul”.
After that on 3 Oct 2019, I formed a writer’s Association named “Writer’s Arena”. In starting, there were only 25 members in it, but working hard on it we are now 1000+ family with members from all over India. My Association got cherished and is not up with publishing house too. And I’ve expanded my association for every type of artist. We are now promoting all types of artists, poets, writers, painters, sketchers, singers, memer, coders, developers and stand-up comedians. We completed our first offline event for stand-up comedians, singers, poets and story tellers on 24 April 2022 and it was a huge success. We are working to provide all round development to our artists and provide them with better platforms. I hope that Writer’s Arena gets more success and reputation in the future and is able to help everyone who seeks for our help.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve faced many struggles, and challenges in the starting as when I was up with my association Writer’s Arena then I had no team and no one was there to work with me. In starting, I had to work on everything alone, I used to promote my association, add new members, preparing the work frame for events and challenges for association members. I had a tough time working alone. But after that, I got some new people as an intern, and they started assisting me but with time their interest and enthusiasm got faded and I’ve to request them to complete their work. Some of them left the association after losing interest. With time I had some competitors and my team has to prove why Writer’s Arena is the best. We had financial issues and we didn’t charge from our members. We organized events for free. There were no participation fees. So the most important challenge was generating revenue. Sometimes for an event, we tried to get some sponsors but we got no support from them. Still with time, we are improving and it’s going well.
We’ve been impressed with Writer’s Arena, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Writer’s Arena is working since 03 Oct 2019 with the motive of providing a platform to different types of artists, Singers, comedians and writers. It has Units of artists in different cities and owns a publication house. We organize different types of Competitions challenges and open mic events. It is up with 1000+ active writers from every corner of the country. We provide a better environment to explore different art forms and talents in them. For all-round development and exposure, we organize national/international competitions, Writing challenges and webinars. Our goal is to provide better citizens & working with motives to provide something extraordinary to artists.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck plays important role in lives but hard work is more important. Like I was lucky that I got featured in the school magazine and that boosted up my confidence and then I was lucky that I got a chance to get published in books, but that was the role of luck in my life after this success that I achieved and my started association for great exposure, success and fame is all because of my hard work. I did give my 110% to my Association and worked constantly to make it a huge success.
