Meet Angel Willis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Willis.

Hi Angel, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Of course! As you know my name is Angel Willis, I am originally from Boston, Massachusetts, but have spent a great majority of my life in South Florida, and spent a great deal of time between Georgia, and New York as well. I am a Realtor® and Real Estate advisor. I began my real estate career 17 years ago in Boston, Massachusetts. Today, I am licensed in three states, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Georgia. I am a wife and mother of two beautiful girls, sister, friend to many, and trusted professional. I’ve been a serial entrepreneur for many years. I’ve had successful businesses in entertainment PR, marketing, and a full scale booking agency.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A career in real estate (or entertainment) is not short of challenges, but equally very rewarding. This is a commission-based role, and you can go stretches without closing deals if you aren’t very intentional about your goals and how you run your business! This is a people business. You have to be boots on the ground every single day! Networking, marketing, branding, strategizing and executing! Your daily routine is what determines your success and how militant you are about it. This is a very competitive industry, especially just coming out of the covid-19 pandemic. There were many new real estate agents born out of the pandemic, many assuming this was a quick cash, get rich overnight career. It is anything but that! You get what you put into a career in real estate. If you want a thriving, flourishing business, you have to cultivate that, and that does not happen overnight, but it will surely happen! In terms of family, it’s a constant balancing act. I work 7 days a week, many hours a day. My clients actually become extended family in most cases because we communicate so often, we share so many emotions together we are literally best buddies for the duration of their transaction and well beyond. However, when you factor in a family and finding that balance it can become difficult. Full transparency, it is something I’m working on daily. Work has been winning thus far lol, but I’m hoping for a better balance in 2023.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I work with buyers, sellers and investors who are in the market to sell or purchase real estate. In the early stages in my career, my target market was primarily first-time home buyers. There was and still is a great sense of fulfillment helping families get into their first home, especially when they never thought it was possible! These days, I am working with more investors and also sellers who are looking to either acquire investment properties, expand their portfolios or sell their homes to relocate. I stay in the know of all things real estate and hence I am able to serve my clients with professionalism, education, strategy and execution. I guarantee a luxury experience no matter the price point, and I deliver each and every time! Commercial real estate is also on my radar for 2023!

What matters most to you?
What matters to me most is doing my part in helping to bridge the wealth gap in the urban and minority communities. There are opportunities, programs and tools in place so every family has a fair shot at financial literacy, financial security, home ownership, and wealth building. I am passionate about helping underserved communities and families to overcome obstacles and begin to create generational wealth for themselves and families. I want my legacy to be that of service to my community, partnerships to achieve excellence, and promoting generational wealth building. I want it as much for others, as I do for my own family. I take pride in educating my clients about all aspects of their home ownership journey, attaining passive income, and leveraging assets to create the life they truly deserve. I am always accepting new clients, and look forward to serving you!
