Meet Amy Anderson of Reclamation Center of Alabama & RCA Foundation

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Anderson.

Hi Amy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Reclamation Center of Alabama, LLC in 2018 and RCA Foundation (Non-Profit) in 2020 both entities purpose to service the community by providing behavioral health, substance treatment and holistic services. I am currently a native of Jonesboro, Ga however, I decided to embark on this mission in the state of Alabama where there is a great need on a broad spectrum. I’ve worked in behavioral health for over 25 years now and it has always been a mission I held close to my heart to be a vessel to help others. I have seen the industry shift greatly during COVID and it inspired me to go a step further with providing treatment services. Currently, we provide a vast amount of telehealth services to rural communities throughout the state of Alabama. We are also launching holistic services such as Meditation, Chakra Balancing and Reiki to provide the community with knowledge on maintaining their inner self whether you are in recovery or you just want a spiritual experience.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road during this journey. We had financial and staffing struggles that slowed us but did not stop the progress. However, by us providing a proficient and consistent treatment services in the community, we have built a solid reputation that we stand behind 100%.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are a premier provider in behavioral treatment and substance treatment services. We provide the community with options to treatment by providing services 7 days a week, evenings via face-to-face or via telehealth. We provide these options to help the community get efficient services faster, maintain employment, and keep their families together. Our agency utilizes technology to bridge the gap between providers and community partners by providing information timely and in a structured manner. We are most proud of how we service with respect to the individuals we service and the community we partner with to extend these services. We would like for everyone to know that we service all individuals and families under our umbrella and on a broad spectrum. We respectfully service under our self-pay concierge options individuals who wish their treatment remains confidential from insurance or their employer for privacy reasons. We also provide treatment services to Medicaid and under-insured or uninsured individuals within the community. Our treatment services range from Assessments, Treatment Planning, Case Management, Therapy, and Holistic Services.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Yes, I see the industry of behavioral health shifting to a more holistic inner approach rather than the traditional outward approach in treatment. This will require individuals being more responsible for their own healing rather than the responsibility being that of the clinician. I feel with a more inner approach, we will see more individuals walking in recovery.
