Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrice Roberts-Jones.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my business after becoming a Certified Yoni Steam Practitioner & learning about the power of herbs. I create tea blends to assist women with various health ailments. After helping women from the inside out, I wanted to assist women from the outside as well. I later graduated from Aveda Institute in Birmingham, AL & became a Licensed Esthetician. As a woman of color, I was never taught the importance of self-care, taking care of my skin, being aware of ingredients I was using on my skin either. This was my opportunity to educate other women & men about the importance of it all….especially people of color.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been easy at all, as a wife, and mother of three boys I’m learning to make sure I make time for my family and to be fully present when I’m home. As a Solo Licensed Esthetician, I’m also trying to hustle hard to keep my business growing and to continue to get my name out there. When you’re a Solo Esthetician, everything is on you, everything comes out of your pocket. I had no grants, no loans, but I’m thankful I have friends, family, and former employers that love me and believe in me. I’ve definitely had help from some of them along the way.

I am woman of color that specializes in corrective facials & waxes. I create skincare products that are infused with herbs that are very beneficial to the skin. What sets me apart from others is my personality, I’ve been through a lot personally but I still walk around with a smile on my face. I’m humble, I’m kind, and I’m understanding. I love to laugh and my clients love that about me. I’m going to tell you the truth, not what you want to hear and I’m going to educate you on your skincare, wax, and aftercare.
I’m most proud of my evolution, I’ve grown personally & professionally and it’s evident in how I present myself and my business.
I want readers to know that taking care of themselves should always be a priority. Book your regular wax appointments and monthly facials. Not only do you deserve it but so does your skin. I offer a variety of facials that help my clients with their skin. The reviews on my scheduling site definitely speak for themselves. I’m blessed to do something I love so much.

Having a handle on balancing work and family life, helping others in my community, continuing to operate in my passion and being successful at it.
