Meet Willie D Davis, IV of Kuuntar Music

Today we’d like to introduce you to Willie D Davis, IV.

Hi Willie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started in music in Grand Rapids, Michigan as a Hip Hop artist signed to KJ Records releasing my first album DO OR DIE under the name TMF CLOAK. I was performing in the Grand Rapids Arts Festival every year until I left in 1999 to the point that when I did leave, I was the only Hip Hop Artist performing in the festival.

Upon arriving in Atlanta Georgia, I continued my foray into music writing and self-producing 8 solo albums in the process and one side project under the pseudonym SIVAD. My music has been featured on 10 compilations, 2 indie movie soundtracks and a slew of internet radio stations. I’m also working on a project to where I release a new single every month for 2022. My latest releases are called “CAN’T CALL IT” and “SECONDS”. The newest single coming is called “TELL ME”

In 2011, out of curiosity, I ventured into acting and was given my first opportunity to film by Bobby and Renee Peoples of The PEOPLES Network. From there, I appeared in 2 stage plays and the rest has been history so to speak. I appeared as an extra in LOTTERY TICKET and then eventually moved up to speaking lines. I’ve in over 40 indie films, stage plays and videos combined to date. I have over 40 IMDB credits and even had a sit-com/movie designed around myself called JARRETTS which can be found on AMAZON PRIME and soon coming to TUBI.

Currently, I’m filming ATLANTA’S UGLY 2.0 by the BLACK ROYAL FAMILY, LOVE N ATLANTA by GRACE THE STALLION, MOSHEH by ASAR FREEMAN, TRAUMATIC by ANTWAN FLOYD and just got off stage with the stage play WOMEN SHOPTALK WHILE REAL MEN WAIT by CLARICE JONES and we will be in Lakeland FL in January!

I’m the author of 5 books (LOVE FOR THE GAME, L4TG:BALLS AND MY WORD, BRUTAL and CONFESSIONS FROM THE FLIPSYD OF LOVE Vol 1 &2). and working to complete at least 2 more by years end. I am also the host of The ICON Chronicles podcast featured on YOUTUBE, SPOTIFY, ANCHOR and soon AMAZON.

Last year, I was voted as ATL’s HOTTEST ACTOR by Mr. Bryant Marshall and the BLACK I AM Awards recipient of their ACTOR ON THE GRIND Award via Dr. Angela Harris. I also nominated again this year for ATL’s HOTTEST ACTOR.

Last but not least, I am the current Vice-President of Public Relations for my Toastmaster Club, ‘LET’S GET IT TALKING.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
NO goal is ever an easy road. I was burned by my label which convinced me to be an independent artist and have continued that journey to this day.

I’ve had people tell me to stop because ‘I’m not famous” or have no Grammys or anything but that was never my intent for being in the music. It was the genuine love of and the feeling that there is when being on a stage. No money or award can buy that feeling.

Acting-wise, the hardest thing are the NOs that you get when you’re not selected for a project that you auditioned for. But it goes with the territory.

Outside of those things, I think that the biggest thing is the lack of support. I spend a lot of time being my own cheerleader and support team and that for sure isn’t easy.
