Today we’d like to introduce you to Kel Jvmes.
Hi Kel, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I got my start by singing and dancing around the house and in my neighborhood when I was about seven years old. It then translated to the classroom, and I began to be labeled a “classroom disruption” because the kids in class were more engaged in my singing and dancing then they were the teacher actually teaching. The first time I ever wrote something original was when I was nine in 4th grade. I had music class and the teacher said we had to write a song and perform it for the class for a grade. I ended up getting a “B”, and the rest is history. I released my first project in 2011 called “Pink Lambo”. I passed it around at my high school and at the mall as well, and I got a pretty great response. I’ve been releasing tapes ever since and the fanbase grows with each tape. I just released an album in august called “Issa Classic II”.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some of the struggles I faced were:
When I first started, I got Boo’d off stage.
I had people throw my cd’s (at the time I started CD’s were on the way out but still had a market).
I also had to deal with opportunities being taken away from me due to jealousy.

I am a Music Artist, Audio Engineer, and Producer.
I specialize in Audio Engineering, as well as being a musical artist
What sets me apart from others is my authenticity. No gimmicks, no lies just 100% me and what I face every day.
I’m known for being the “jack of all trades”.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future are to make an impact on music in a very positive way.
I’m looking forward to what 2023 has in store for me.
