Daily Inspiration: Meet Cutty Row

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cutty Row.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Cutty Row Productions was started in 2008. Initially, it was just Zaaire & Loch Yeti. Yeti would make beats and I heard them I was like, man that’s dope, let me try. We’ve been producing for over 12 years. We have also engineered singers, musicians, & artists for over five years.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Well, a couple of close friends we started doing music with have passed. We would be lying if we said it was easy, we’ve dealt with managers & a&r’s stealing our content. When you get involved in this game, you start to see its people in the industry that want to try to get over on you. And when they can’t, they try to make it more difficult for you to succeed. It doesn’t do anything but make us work harder and you gotta have tough skin to be in this business.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We really just wanna make good music. This art is universal. We are from Atlanta. We are the culture. It’s a lot of people that come here and try to portray something that the city really isn’t about and we are just tired of listening to bs and seeing these kids throw they’re life away because of what everybody says in their music…

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
