Meet Camille Telicia of Business Transformation Coaching in Dunwoody

Today we’d like to introduce you to Camille Telicia.

Camille, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
If someone would have told me 12 or 13 years ago, when I was still in undergrad, that I would be working for myself as a transformational coach, I would have only believed half of that statement. I always knew that I was going to be an entrepreneur, but I was adamant about NOT wanting to work 1-on-1 with people in any sort of “let me listen to your problems” capacity, despite the fact that, I was actually a Psychology major in school. I can’t say that there was an exact “aha” moment when I decided to open myself up to the idea of doing private coaching, but I think that I finally became clear that it would be the simplest and most impactful way for me to help others. Despite having my MBA, a few entrepreneurial endeavors under my belt, and a love for talking all things business, I initially started my business as simply a Life Coach. However, after my first few clients were entrepreneurs, and our conversations geared more towards their businesses, I realized that I was only limiting myself by not including business into my coaching practice. It became clear that entrepreneurs need a space to discuss their business and their life interchangeably as needed, and that is how I came to become a Business & Transformation Coach.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
If you have met an entrepreneur whose journey has been smooth, please introduce me ASAP! 🙂
All jokes aside, I really don’t believe that the entrepreneurial journey is meant to be a smooth one. Growth as a person is a 100% necessary part of growing a business, and you can only grow when you are stretched and challenged. While I have experienced many of the usual challenges that come with growing a business (feeling stuck, “failed” product launches, figuring out social media strategy, building an audience, balancing full time work, creating desirable products/offerings), I also went through one of the toughest experiences that a person can go through; losing a parent. During my first year of building my business, my mother was diagnosed with Stage IV stomach cancer and ultimately passed away after an 8-month battle. I was fortunate enough to be able to relocate to be able to be by her side and take care of her (along with my sister) during that time, but it was definitely a challenge to be a caregiver, still working a full time job and build a business simultaneously. I learned a lot about my own capacity in that year and I would not trade that time with my mom for anything!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Business Transformation Coaching (I operate my business under my name, but my legal business is CamTel Innovations) – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
As a coach, I get to work with people, most of whom are entrepreneurs, who need support in figuring out the ‘how’ to their ‘what’ or need support in getting of their own way to accomplish a goal. I provide private coaching as well as group coaching and currently all of my services are provided virtually. In addition to coaching, I also facilitate virtual workshops, most of which are currently centered around personal development as it relates to entrepreneurship. This year, I am excited to be honing in on the concept of getting unstuck. Lately, I have been attracting more people who are feeling stagnant, or unclear, or uncertain, about moving their business forward, and it has been very fulfilling to help them work through that. I think that the best coaching comes from experience, and having worked to get myself on the other side of stuck, it only makes sense that now I am in a position to help others do the same thing.

In addition to being a coach, I can now add author to my resume, as I just published my first book, Shut the Stuff Up, at the end of last year. This is a personal development book designed to help readers shut down the fears, false stories, and limiting beliefs that hold them hostage from their goals. I am currently in the planning stages of a book-workshop tour for later this year, to be able to help people really do the work, and be supported in getting through. I’m especially proud of completing this book, not only because being an author has long been on my life-goals list but because it is also a way for me to create a wider and longer lasting impact in this world.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am excited to continue to grow as a coach and also expand my reach. I am in the process of launching a new group coaching program called, The Other Side of Stuck, that will allow me to support more people at once. Additionally, I am planning a couple of women’s retreats for later this year, that will likely take place in North Georgia. Lastly, I am super excited to get on the road and make my book-workshop tour an AMAZING and transformational experience!

Additionally, I am looking forward to continuing and improving my webshow/podcast about business and life, #CamilleOverChai to grow my audience, bring on more guests and showcase other entrepreneurs.
