Today we’d like to introduce you to Mo Dollaz.
Hi Mo, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Mo Dollaz was introduced to creating/writing music at the age of 14 by my stepbrother. In the 7th grade when I recorder my first song and performed at a school talent show. I grew up analyzing my favorite vocal artist from Hop Hop to Dancehall, to Pop, to Reggae, to R&B. Studying and observing my favorite artist’s I, Mo Dollaz was able to formulate my own sound, look and energy of unique creativity that reflects on personality. Ten years later, I have traveled to various states/countries, recorded over 100+ songs, recorded music visuals, created merchandise and became deeply involved with the business side of the artistry. The journey has taught/motivated/inspired myself and others close and afar to continue to do great things with realizing how great life can truly be.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road hasn’t been smooth and it still isn’t smooth. There was definitely times I struggled to put finances together for studio time, music visuals, promotion or to even reach a certain location to complete a mission. Losing recording files, losing friends, losing family members. Outgrowing relationships that don’t mesh with the future I have planned mentally and spiritually. Compromising personal happiness to get a greater goal for a greater joy. Facing envious friends/family/associate’s energies when people are intimidated with your success or determination to be unstoppable.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I write, record and perform songs. I’m known for being the energy God in the room. I’m known for many things such as my music, my TikTok comedy videos, my bravery, my one of a kind creativity. I’m mostly proud of the journey that I have been able to run truthfully. Not many get to chase their dreams passionately without fear of “not making it.” Not making it became less of a thing for me when you realize the odds set against you as well as realizing from the start I never had all the tools/resources I needed in the first place. Realizing that allowed me to take it easy on myself but to push myself as well. What sets me(Mo Dollaz) apart is the willingness to do what I love with all heart. Not to be cool, not for money, nor for even recognition. Doing what I love in life because my heart is within every and anything that is to be done.
What’s next?
My plans for the future is to grow my businesses 100x over and build an environment for my family & close loved ones to be around me. Travel the globe with intention of spreading the journey to the ears and eyes who have never been exposed to who Mo Dollaz is and the impact he leaves within people. See that clothing brand has reached a lifestyle pinochle, my products to be highly demanded. And my music to be appreciated to whomever it may resonate with.
