Check Out Felicia Cox’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Felicia Cox.

Hi Felicia, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
This journey has been a very spiritual experience for me. In 2002, my late cousin Henry introduced to me one of the books that he wrote called, The Nature and Purpose of Disease that acts as a guide to holistic wellness and living and how it contributes to our physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being. Earlier that year I decided that I wanted to be plant-based, and after sitting down with my cousin, I received further confirmation that this was my purpose and the beginning of this beautiful journey. It wasn’t until 2012 when I listened to my body and spirit that I impulsively went through with giving up meat—the decision that I made in 2002 changed my life forever.

Since then, I have received my Vegan Health & Nutrition Certification, received my Kemetic Reiki Certification, conducted vegan/spiritual coaching and guided meditation sessions for clients all over the United States, as well as hosting cooking classes, pop-ups, and workshops in the Atlanta area.

In 2023 I will be hosting my first international wellness retreat in Bali, and also in 2023 my wellness workshops with VTG Retreats will be emerging with 4 retreats in the upcoming year!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Throughout this spiritual journey, I spent a lot of time educating myself, reading, watching documentaries, receiving my certifications, and understanding my body, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I had to learn to surrender, while also continuing to try and manifest the space that I have been working so hard to create for everyone.

VTG has evolved over the years, starting off as a juice and meal prep business (Jupiter Juice Co.) in 2014, and then transitioning over to cooking classes, pop-ups, and workshops, and now finally a physical space that promotes overall holistic wellness, while still offering all of the services that VTG has created over the years.

There were many times where I had to step away and reevaluate what I wanted this space to be, what I wanted it to look like, as well as how I wanted it to feel. I can now say that I have manifested the space that I always envisioned, and I am able to share that space through social media, as well as in person, and all over the world.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Many people know me as @vegantastesgood on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. I make eating healthy fun by posting juice recipes, raw vegan food, and easy plant-based recipes. I created the name, Vegan Taste Good because I have always had the belief that you can make vegan food taste good.

I always like to ensure that everyone is aware that making the decision to go plant-based is more than just a physical decision, it helps you elevate spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. While I provide information on easy recipes, I make sure to also supply educational information on the foods that we are consuming in order to bring awareness to how we can heal our bodies from the inside out.

I am most proud of my ability to reach millions of people all around the world who genuinely have an interest in holistic wellness, and healthy eating. The support I’ve received has been magical. Every day I am able to help someone, and that is the most fulfilling part of my journey.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The characteristic that I feel is most important to my success is being intentional and authentic. I’ve always known that I’ve wanted to help humanity by bringing peace and light during these transitional periods of life. Vegan Tastes Good has manifested in so many ways in order to fulfill this purpose of bringing awareness to how the food that we eat, and our health all contribute to our spirituality—because it is my belief that spirituality often begins with food.
