Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Jordan.
Hi Nikki, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
How I got started, well initially I started a Re-Upholstery business, and I enjoyed it. However, God had other plans for me. I know it sounds outlandish, but the conversation literally went like this, “Nikki- Start a Cleaning Service”. My response was, “My God- Really, I hate the noise of vacuums” The conversation ended with him Promising to Bless this business if I do it in his name. I guess he never promised the road would be easy, I definitely faced many personal adversities in the beginning stages, like the ending of 18+ on/off relationship that ended like a tv movie, single mother and a short period of being homelessness and sleeping in my office- I guess you can say sleeping in the office is a great reminder to never sleep on your dreams.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not always been smooth, and I have encountered many struggles on this journey like navigating Gov Contracts, funding, hiring/retaining good talent, cash flow, time management and on a personal note loneliness. Loneliness was one of the most challenging times. Running the business, managing all aspects of the business from administrative to operations. You have those moments when you want to give up, or you want someone alongside you for support to understand. These moments are what defined me, pushing through and not quitting. I had to look up and seek the source to realize I was not alone. This road will always have its twists and turns however with God.

The implementation of these programs by our trained Technicians provides a cleaning that amplifies the overall health and quality of the space. How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is my kids, family, Select One Cleaning. Creating a brand and a work environment that allows me to live life on my terms. This Journey makes me happy, ultimately it has challenged me to grow spiritually and to have faith.
