Hi Destiny, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My love for nails started during the pandemic! I would watch reels & TikToks of nails & after a while, I was like “I think I can do this”. But at first, I wanted to do nails only for myself. I never would’ve thought I would be doing celebrity nails as a career! Until one day, I thought, “what can make me stand out? What can make me different than all the other local nail techs? Because there is so many people that do what I do! And that’s when GOD Put it in my heart to do Celebrity Nails. So one day I texted about 100 celebrities. And two answered me back and I just couldn’t believe it but I knew this was my calling & that’s what I’ve been doing every since. Believing in myself and manifesting my dreams.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve had quite a few struggles! I’ve dealt with doubting myself especially when a client wasn’t satisfied during the beginning of my perfecting my craft. I’ve dealt with trying not to give up, not getting enough sales for a month. Losing clientele, losing motivation, etc. But I’ve also dealt with never-ending support, Finding That Passion Again, Gaining Clientele After I Perfected My Craft and more. But something I learned is every nail tech goes through ups and down in the beginning. You can’t be successful without failing and I count on succeeding!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I do nails! I specialize is acrylic nails. I love doing artwork. I get a lot of engagement from being creative. What sets me apart from others is I’m not afraid to take risks doing Nails. I like to do the most crazy ideas. I love making people stop scrolling and really think ” wow what in the world!”
What does success mean to you?
I define success as failing but not getting stuck there. Success is getting up & Trying again & again & again & again & again until something changes!
