Today we’d like to introduce you to Neal Sheppard.
Hi Neal, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Grew up in Toccoa, a small town in northeast Georgia. Raised by great Godly parents who taught me how he be strong, confident and positive in all that I do. Graduated from Stephens County High School as well as the University of Georgia with a degree in Psychology and Exercise Science. I really didn’t know what I wanted to do in life, but I knew I loved people, automobiles and business so I became a sales professional at the local car dealership. I quickly realized this was the career path for me as I had great success and worked my way up to internet sales manager, sales manager, then finance manager. Over the next eight years, I would continue to progress and succeed in the industry, but deep down, I knew I had more to give to this industry… so I joined the team at Akins Ford to be a part of their Wild Willies Custom Vehicle Accessory department. I’ve always been very detail oriented and passionate about being unique, so this was and is the perfect career for me. Finding this niche really ramped up my focus, output and intensity on sharing how great we can make vehicles. In just three short years, we have created nationwide interest by growing our YouTube channel to 5 million views a month and having high levels of engagement across all social media platforms. I get to now have a greater impact on the automotive industry as a whole while being able to do something I truly love! Now we customize vehicles for clients across the entire USA and even Canada.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been challenging at times even though my parents prepared me for it… you still have to learn by the experience most of all. Taking risks and working hard aren’t easy to do… so along the way, I’ve learned how to be more mentally and physically strong to be at my best each day. I believe those both go hand in hand in order to approach each day with the proper mindset and confidence level.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My job title is Wild Willies Custom Accessories Manager, but I’m much more than that. I wake up every day with the goal of maximizing both the Akins Ford and Wild Willies businesses by helping sell vehicle accessories as well as the vehicle itself. What I’ve found to be the most beneficial way I can do this is by being a social media influencer/creator Champion! My name is Neal Sheppard and my nickname online is Real Deal Neal. I take pride in having the best product knowledge on both accessories and automobiles in order to be a trusted source for info and transactions for our businesses. What sets me apart from others is this along with having a unique high level of energy, compassion, and gratitude. I take pride in being unique and working hard.
How do you define success?
I consider myself very successful for having a healthy and wonderful family with a fruitful career from which I can provide, protect and lead them. But.. Success to me is reaching and sustaining the best version of myself while not compromising any of my core beliefs and values.
