Hi Carline, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Starting permanent makeup wasn’t something that I always dreamed of doing. I started doing permanent makeup because I wanted an out from the barbershop and I wanted something to do that was still in the beauty industry. I started doing permanent makeup in my two-bedroom apartment, then I suddenly grew to the house we moved in stayed there another year and then a year and a half into my PMU industry. I opened up my training facility. I am a self-taught artist, and I am so proud of where I came from.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This journey has not been a smooth road. I have run into so many hiccups along the way, especially trying to teach myself something that people pay thousands to learn. By going through the motions of being judged, because of who I am was also a big challenge for me. But even through all the challenges, I made my way to where God wanted me to be.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned during my journey is to stay consistent, be confident, and follow your rules that You have set in place.
