Today we’d like to introduce you to Ndia Heywood.
Hi Ndia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
After graduating from Georgia State University in 2015, I began working to rehabilitate those who have suffered brain injuries. After a few years of this work, I decided to further my education and become a Clinical Rehabilitation Counselor with a special interest on the mental wellness of young women. Although I enjoyed my role as a helper to many, I still desired to help others in more ways. I still did not feel fulfilled.
Like many others, during the pandemic, I began to explore and find new hobbies. I became interested in aesthetics, beauty and other methods to achieve wellness. I had always loved helping people feel confident and beautiful inside, but Wow! I had found a way to incorporate my love for helping others discover ways to maintain mental wellness with external methods that exude self-care and self-confidence. With the guidance and support of family, I pursued my newfound dream. I began to dedicate my days to learning about the beauty industry, products, procedures and benefits of anti-aging services and techniques. After two years of research, making the right connections and intense dedication, I was able to open to my first medical anti-aging clinic! We officially opened for business in August of 2022.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not always been smooth, trying to start a new business during the pandemic was the first challenge! Many businesses or licensing facilities were not open, short-staffed or working on delays. I experienced many setbacks. This took a lot of dedication on my part as I was transitioning into a new industry that I didn’t know much about! Another challenge was finding a good team of people that had a similar vision as myself to help bring to my vision to life and provide the experience that I wanted by customers to have while receiving service.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Regen Rx Therapy is a luxury anti-aging medical clinic located in Buckhead. We specialize in Aesthetic skin services (facials, hydro facials, microneedling, chemical peels, etc…) Weight loss, laser hair removal, botox, fillers, and IV hydration.
We are different as we provide the “luxury” experience of a high-end day spa while offering the medical services of a clinic. I am most proud that my brand exudes luxury, self-care and self-confidence.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Spending the summer months in the country at my paternal grandma’s house with my cousin. We would play all day outside, riding bikes or whatever we could get into OUTDOORS! We would go house to house as the whole neighborhood was a relative or close family friend.
