Daily Inspiration: Meet Antoinette Anderson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Antoinette Anderson.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My passion for graphic design was birthed out of necessity, like most things I’ve discovered about myself. My first attempt at entrepreneurship started at the age of 12 my skills as a gifted braider allowed me to earn money from a small clientele that would grow throughout my Junior high and high school years. In 2020 I decided to retire from braiding to focus on other gifts and passions.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My life hasn’t been a smooth ride at all I had a very challenging childhood. My parents were unable to properly care for my siblings and me so we were raised by my southern Christ-loving Grandmother. There were 12 of us at one point and she kept us all in line with the word of God, She didn’t have much but the most important thing she passed down to us all was the importance of having a relationship with God, without it I don’t know where I would be today.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’ve been creative all my life. From my hair to my clothes, I’ve always managed to express my creativity in one way or another. Depicted Soul Design Studio Is my world of creativity. I love creating digital products for people that are creatives like myself. Producing products that are trendy but not predictable will be what sets me apart from other creative designers. I want my consumers to purchase my products as an expression of who they are.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the Next 5-10 years I see Depicted Soul Design Studio as a trendsetter for digital products.
