Meet Eleshia V. Cash of Global Leadership Christian Center- Women’s Empowerment Ministry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eleshia V. Cash.

Eleshia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Growing up I always knew that I was a leader and that I would be influential one day in my community. I just did not know how. As I begin to serve in the church growing up, God gave me a heart for women’s ministry. And I understood that what a woman does comes from who she believes she is. And I believed, that although I had struggles in my career, understanding how to be a wife, a mom, a daughter, a mentor, and a leader in the church that my destiny was tied to helping other women discover their God-given purpose and talents to impact the church and the world. I call it “Intentional Evangelism”

At Global Leadership Christian Center, we train our women to get intentionally involved in the marketplace and community in order to put faith into action. In October of 2014, We begin a Women’s Empowerment Weekend as a community outreach networking program. We hosted a series of networking events for a diverse group of women in the community to empower them to be courageous in whatever goal in life they were trying to achieve! It was called, ” Moving from Comfort to Courageous”. We had a wonderful response from the community and continued to host these women empowerment programs year after year.

Research shows that confident people are more attractive by their peers, they have better jobs, are happier and more productive than their less confident counterparts. And like most other things in life, developing confidence is a practice. We wanted to help women develop confidence in their spiritual walk, their mental capacity, as well as their physical being. Our Women’s Empowerment programs challenged women to take their confidence to the next level in all three areas.

In 2018 we decided to build on that confidence by acknowledging women that were empowering other women in their communities, respective careers, and church. The stories of these 16 women was impeccable that women left empowered with a new mind, new focus and new mentality.

Has it been a smooth road?
Kingdom work is big and women’s ministry is huge because it’s not an easy job to minister to such a diverse group of people. Women come from many different walks of life, are in various seasons in life, and have various needs to address. Not everything has to appeal to every woman— however, when planing an impactful event, creativity is key, and staying current with women trends and interest. Last year we plan a beautiful conference and the attendance was lower than expected. It was very tempting to give up on the idea that I was called to Women’s Ministry and not to plan anything again.

However, I heard a still small voice say to me that winners never quit and women shouldn’t quit either. He that began a good work in you shall complete it! Winners don’t lose, they learn. As a leader, I realized that I had a ministry counting on me, a commitment to God, and a purpose to fulfill. And from there, the 2018 Women’s Empowerment Red Dress Brunch was birthed.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Global Leadership Christian Center- Women’s Empowerment Ministry – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Global Leadership Christian Center was founded by Senior Pastor Tony and First Lady – Executive Pastor, Eleshia Cash in June 2009 and is a non-denominational Christian ministry servicing the Metro Atlanta area and the world with an awesome, life-changing, spirit led, biblical teaching and worship experience. Global Leadership does church differently. We are redefining the church experience through technology, relatable messages, pure worship, building leaders, and community/outreach programs.

The Women’s Empowerment Ministry is one of the outreach programs known for empowering other women through community events. We are most proud of our recent event “The 2018 Red Dress Brunch” where we hosted 200 women and honored 16 women from across the metro Atlanta area who are influential and empowering other women in their respective industries, community, and in the life of the church. What sets us apart from other women organizations is that due to my collaborative leadership as First Lady, the women’s empowerment ministry embraces true Christ-centered relationships that are called to serve, build up other women, and strengthen the women community. We can accomplish more through unity, and that’s our empowerment motto!

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I Love Atlanta! I am a native of the city and most proud of our women in leadership role models – women who have overcome barriers to become successful, such as our new mayor, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. Women need consistent examples of other women making strides in order to keep the empowerment movement going. Atlanta also provides so many different opportunities for things to do and places to go, it’s very easy for Girls That Just Want To Have Fun!
