Hidden Gems: Meet Will Mueller of Muellers Autos

Today we’d like to introduce you to Will Mueller.

Hi Will, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
At a very young age, my favorite toys were matchbox cars, I suppose it started then. I had always been I go cars, when I was 12 out next door neighbor’s son shows up in a brand new red Lamborghini Diablo, I made my mom go over there, and I got a ride it in – it was over then, hooked. I wasn’t sure my path in life, but my goal had always been to own a car like that, and to do so you obviously have to make enough money to allow it. I got out on my own at 16, was in and out of trouble. When I was 20 years old I went to prison for two years, I got out 1 month before my 23rd birthday, starting over with no money, no car, no job, no friends, nothing. I felt I had something to prove and make up for. I had odd jobs here and there, saving any money I could. I caught a job doing sales in a gym at 26 and started to figure things out, by 28 was managing multiple ones and getting on my feet. I was using ant extra money towards my car hobby, and as that grew me passion for the gym industry declined until I got burnt out enough to quit with no backup lined up.

This is when I invested more in myself and got my car dealer’s license, and The rest just took its course, I started with $35k and bought a Tesla, and began flipping cars while still working my day job, funding my side job. I found a niche market by buying desirable cars, modifying them making them more appealing and adding value, then selling them at a retail price as they stand out from the rest. I then taught myself how to wrap vehicles for numerous reasons: I was spending money paying someone else to do it for me, it makes the cars stand out and adds value to them, but more importantly, gave me another side hustle. I finally got into my first exotic car and then got more into the cars buying exotic cars, modifying them, enjoying them, and flipping them into a new one. It’s the best of the both worlds when you’re making money doing something you’re passionate about. I don’t think I’m lucky, I messed my life up pretty good at a younger age, but I kept my goals high and was determined to still make something of myself. You can do anything you want in this life, it comes down to how bad you want it. Success hits differently when you remember all you went through to get there. I feel like as long as you’re trying to do better, better is going to come.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Nothing worth having comes easy. I think many of my obstacles were self-inflicted. My background followed me around for a while, no one believed in me, I was too stubborn to ask for help, but at the end of the day, I’m the most thankful because I got here on my own, and no one can take that from me. I’m humble enough to know I can lose it all but confident enough to know I can get it back. A hard part for me was my record following me, as I couldn’t get any corporate or big job. I had no clue what to do or what route to go. I had to choose a route that my past wouldn’t matter, a route I could control my own faith. Networking was hard to begin with, people didn’t believe in me or buy into me, but persistence paid off, it took a lot of “No” until I started hearing “yes.” I’m naturally introverted but I learned to be extroverted in the business world and it worked out in my favor I was able to let my personality come out. In life, you have to take some risks, calculated risks of course, and on my first two I ever took, I got taken advantage of and burned. Those two scenarios made me not want to try again, but at the end of the day a loss is a lesson, you grow and move on, but what they taught me was worth what I lost. It shouldn’t be totally smooth. Tough times can humble you and motivate you to work harder. You’re going to make mistakes, take losses, fail, and get hurt, it’s all a part of the journey. I think it’s important to always believe in yourself and to never give up.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Muellers Autos LLC?
I’m an auto broker, connecting people with their dream cars. I also do vehicle wraps, chrome deletes, window tinting, light tint, and can facilitate any vehicle modifications. I’ve always had an eye for cars and the little details that make them stand out. I’ll buy an exotic car, customize it to make it unique, and resell to a happy new owner that has a car that fits their personality, it makes the driving experience that much more enjoyable and the car stands out among others. I also have clients that will have me find them their car, then also have it modified before they take possession, so when they finally get it, it is exactly the way they pictured it – bringing them an excitement and enjoyment is what’s rewarding. Some modifications are wraps, wheels, exhaust, tunes, window tinting, lighting, interior carbon fiber replacement, these are what make the cars unique to each owner.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Sure… believe in yourself, and rely on no one. Networking is more valuable than you realize, put yourself in positions to take advantage of opportunities. Have your goals set high. Find something you’re passionate about and always work towards that. Keep your mind and body health, so you can perform at your best. Be smart with your money, don’t try to impress anyone. Most importantly, do what makes YOU happy, you live your life for no one other than yourself. As long as your respecting and loving yourself, taking care of YOU, and doing something you love – than the success will follow… never give up.
