Today we’d like to introduce you to Rene’ Parks.
Hi Rene’, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Eight years ago, I began my journey as an entrepreneur on a mission to create financial stability and freedom, to spend quality time with my children without having to settle for merely getting by. My first experience was challenging – there were gaps in my knowledge I wasn’t prepared to encounter along the way. My venture, Belle Vous Beauty, focused on building confidence and empowering women everywhere. My success enabled me to share this knowledge and now, through my Becoming Her Coaching Program, I am teaching other women how to take the same steps toward becoming a successful entrepreneurs as I have.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey as an entrepreneur has been filled with challenges and obstacles, including not having the right tools and resources or even knowledge to know what was necessary. My business wasn’t structured properly either, so I could not get the adequate amount of funds that I needed. When I couldn’t find a way through, feelings of discouragement and failure began to creep in and my dreams of success seemed further away. My willpower and determination were tested daily, but each time the thought of quitting came up I was reminded of all the times where I had nothing – it was enough to spur me on. Despite the overwhelming odds being stacked against me, I never did give up believing in myself and in my dreams; after all, it was for my children that I was doing this.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My journey as an entrepreneur has been one of great learning and personal growth. During this time of struggle, I made a commitment to myself that inspired me to give back to help single mothers and female entrepreneurs in their journey to success. My vision resulted in Belle Vous Beauty launching its very own coaching program designed with those women in mind. My team and I developed the perfect course curriculum that teaches participants everything needed for the foundations of their business – from credit building to applying for funding – and even marketing their businesses correctly. My ultimate goal is always to empower and inspire others who have set out on the same journey that I did, inspiring them to become their best selves. Teaching them how to develop a level of confidence that would ensure their success.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
The truth is no matter what business your in, in order to excel you have to constantly be educating yourself and learning more to have an advantage against your competitors. Every coach needs a coach, every mentor needs a mentor! What has worked for me is not overcomplicating things, identifying trends, and duplicating the model that has already been proven to work. In addition, the most important focus for all entrepreneurs is SERVING, serving their ideal customer and being sure to over-deliver! This is key!
