Meet Sharon Well

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Well.

Hi Sharon, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
When I was 19 years old, I landed an internship for a designer in Los Angeles, CA where I learned all the ins and outs of the fashion industry. It was after two seasons of working in LA Fashion Week that I found my creative side. I started operating behind the camera, shooting behind the scenes for the designers, pitching ideas and visions of their campaigns and photoshoots. I knew I had many talents and gifts; I just didn’t know where I belonged. I went into sudden isolation and found myself hungry for something more. Then one day, I had an encounter with Jesus weeks before I found out I was pregnant. I felt like I was growing along with my child. After her birth I asked myself what kind of a role model I like to be for her so I picked up my camera again and restarted my portfolio. I started believing in myself again, I wouldn’t have this vision without God. I had no direction until I found Him.

In 2021, I then led myself to finally take the step to my biggest dream and fear of all…music. I took a leap of faith to record for the first time on my first EP “I Am….Spontaneous.” I revisited my little self that I have neglected for so long due to my constant comparison of other music artists and standards in this world. “I’ll never be good enough to be a music artist.” I said. As I got older, I told myself whoever is meant to hear it is meant to hear it. I’m done trying to be perfect. I ignored the noises around me and went for it. Whether it sounds good or not, I can say I did it. There’s always room for progress and I choose to lay my ego and pride down and embrace my flaws and all for others to relate to. I want to inspire others to follow their hearts and to never hold back, we are imperfectly perfect. That’s what I call ART. People may call me a “Jack of all trades” but really, I just call myself an artist that wants to bring light into this world. I want my work to speak for itself. There’s so much more I want to do, but I know it takes time and patience. This is just the beginning.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not always been a smooth road, I have had to overcome silencing my doubters and as well as battles with myself. Sometimes, I feel like my creativity will not go anywhere nor will impact anyone. But I found myself pushing passed the noise and ended up finding a light at the end of the tunnel by reminding myself what I’m here for on this earth. There’s no other way, I’m just not a 9-5 person. I can’t live without creating, it is my oxygen.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an artist of music, creative director, photographer and esthetician. I am the most proud of having the courage from the beginning to birth my platforms. It may be small but I know it’s going somewhere. As long as our intention and motives are pure, I believe everything and everyone will be able to sense the authenticity behind all my businesses and platforms. I just want my work to spread love and light to others.
