Meet Orlando Vega

Today we’d like to introduce you to Orlando Vega.

Orlando, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started in photography when I was 14 years old, I began to experiment with a portable camera that my father had, then I got a professional camera where I put myself to the test. I had read books, taken photography courses on the internet, and listened to some advice from close photographer friends. Between photos of my friends and nature, I developed my identity, I have always liked the origin and how you can start playing and conceptualizing with their image, putting them in different positions and even dressing them for each photo session. The trips and the people I met in other places have inspired me to continue developing my identity between the minimalist and with a certain scale of colors. Today I can say that I have a very clear vision in photography and even in other areas such as product development, installations, art direction and video.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being on the go has been a part of a while, getting to a new place is sometimes like starting from scratch. When I moved to Mexico City, practically everything was new to me, the people and especially the world of art, however I have managed to hoard any environment that surrounds me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Photography, art direction and film.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Attitude.
