Today we’d like to introduce you to Edward Bryan.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
As a young man from Panama growing up in poverty, I’ve always wanted more. So I’ve learned the way of the world and it is Entrepreneurship. There is always something to sell and something to buy. But as I have gotten older I’ve had a few failed business that thought me a valuable lesson, always protect your assets. So now I own a trucking company and also a party rental business.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The struggles I’ve had was going in business with family and friends and not having the same vision. I still love them but I know you really have to be synced on all levels to work well together.
As time goes by you find ways that work for you or the team and others that don’t. Each dynamic team has a different operating direction. Just have to knee your team’s personality and work it that way.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As an Actor here in Atlanta I am constantly working on my craft and going after auditions. Once I book a gig I have to do as much marketing for myself to get another gig. Acting jobs are not forever so you have to plan for the next job and next. I am fortunate that I have the military as well that has kept me afloat during my acting career. And now I have a couple of businesses that keep streaming income for me to do what I love to do and that’s acting.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
NEVER BURN BRIDGES… from doing small-budget gigs to big-budget gigs I always treat everyone with respect and professionalism. I’ve seen people I’ve done indie films with go on to these big studios and do well for themselves. So I always stay humble and continue my journey until I too have made it to where I want and continue to be.
