Hi Aaron, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Believe it or not, I used to play basketball and dance as a kid. Those activities required me to buy a camera so I can record the footage to make sure I can rewatch them later. Over the years one thing led to another and I started filming music videos and doing photography
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Any business you invest into doesn’t always go well. Only way you learn from your mistakes is trial and error. You have to attempt to try new things before you figure out if it works for u or not. One of my struggles I faced were starting off with no clients. I had to find ways to promote myself even when I didn’t have a portfolio. I went out and shot random objects and even started going to rap showcases. A lot of long nights and not much money being made just to prove you are willing to get clients.
As you know, we’re big fans of NIKEEFILMZ. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
NikeeFilmz is a brand that specializes in photography and videography. We can shoot anything from weddings, lifestyle Photoshoots to music videos. We just made our ten years anniversary in January 2023. In 2022 we started to manage artists around the city of Chicago who we believed that could be potential stars. Great thing is we haven’t officially signed any artists because we don’t believe taking money away from the artists. We simply mentor and show the unsigned artists the ins and out of the music industry. The most proud moments we have is making out our clients smile and create memories along the way. We want the people that hasn’t heard of the brand to check out the work and leave a review. Once you book with us then “Loyalty will be tested.” Anything you need shot with a camera, we can do it.
