Today we’d like to introduce you to Cedrick Fallings.
Hi Cedrick, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up in a small middle Georgia town and was raised by a single-parent mother you did her best to provide. I matriculated through elementary, middle and high school as a mediocre student. I found myself having no plans after I graduated but knew I had to do something since I was a new dad. I was offered a job in downtown Atlanta working for my Catherine and that job changed my life. I began to meet all the people she was connected to and realized there was more to life than what I had been exposed to. I met this one gentleman who always professional and sharp. I inquired from him exactly what it is that he does. He told me he was a real estate broker. I talked with him every time I had a chance and I was smitten with the real estate bug. So I enrolled in real estate school and as they say, the rest is history. I am now the associate broker at Keller Williams Georgia Communities where I run a team of 6. This year I will become a life member of the Multi-Million Dollar club. I hold a real estate license in the state of Florida as well.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I believe there is not a smooth road for any business. So of course I had some struggles over the years. When you love what you do you find a way to push through the struggles. My greatest struggle was finding my niche. My niche market is working with investors. I have a commonality with them because I am an investor as well. I represent investors domestically and abroad when they purchase real estate in Georgia or Florida.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I ran my own brokerage in Griffin Georgia for three years. Then I was approached by Keller Williams to join their organization. It was a difficult decision because I had worked so hard to build my small boutique brokerage and now I was giving it up. Then I thought I won’t be giving it up I will be stretching my reach by joining such a conglomerate of company. Now my hands can reach opportunities in real estate that I could not reach on my own. Niche real estate is how you build to then diversify into other areas. Investors are my niche but we also serve homeowners by helping them sell or buy their personal homes. We also have a property management leg of our company that help give homeowners and investors alike a piece of mind knowing their properties are being run efficiently.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Our business is full of mentors and individuals that is doing business on another level. These are the people you seek out for wisdom and nuggets to help grow your business. In our organization, we have coaches that aid us to growth because they are living in a business space that I striving to be. Once my pastor told me if I ever want to do anything in life, find one person that’s doing on that level and copy and paste. If one person can achieve a certain level of success so can I
