Community Highlights: Meet Brian Adams of B-Rockin Parties

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Adams.

Hi Brian, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I began my career as an elementary PE teacher, but then I was asked to DJ a party from a family at the school I worked at. During that party someone asked me to DJ their birthday party because they liked my personality and vibe. From that moment on I fell in love with the idea of being a Mobile DJ. I really enjoy being able to help people celebrate momentous occasions in their life. I love music, people and entertaining so this was the perfect fit.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road has been fairly smooth despite some obstacles with equipment not working. Also, I have learned from past parties and finally learned what parties are not in my wheelhouse. While being a mobile DJ means I have flexibity to be at home with the kids, our family had to adjust to this new normal. We now know how to balance family time with weekend events and we are enjoying the journey.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about B-Rockin Parties?
My goal with B-Rockin Parties is to be a DJ like no other and to give an experience that is like no other. I am super flexible and can make adjustments as needed even during the event. What sets me apart from other DJs is my personality, I love being around people and not just sitting behind the computer playing music. I pride myself on being engaging, I like to get out from behind the table and interact with people as much as possible. I really enjoy doing weddings and kid events! My elementary background helps me be a great fit for birthday parties because I love running games and providing entertainment for the party kids. Also, being a former teacher really comes in handy when I do school events and festivals. I love that my brand means that people can feel comfortable, are able to relax and not have to worry about what the DJ will do.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I have learned is to be as flexible as possible to ensure the party is a success. I have learned where my talents are as a mobile DJ and how to use them effectively.
