Hi Ashia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hey y’all, I’m Ashia. I am the owner and creator of Drinks by Ashia. My journey in mixology started when I became a bartender at a steak house. During my time there, I gained experience and developed a passion for mixology. My customers started recognizing my passion and high standards for mixology and began requesting me to bartend for private events. This is how Drinks by Ashia was born. As I began serving at private events, I realized how much I enjoyed serving my clients and saw the need for a mixology service that was client-focused, fun, and knowledgeable. I’ve since grown my business to include an entire team of personally trained mixologists to allow my standard of service to expand beyond just myself. I look forward to taking your event to the next level with DBA!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My biggest struggle was trying to balance a job and my business. Once I got the courage to take that leap and quit my job, my business has flourished tremendously. Now I am learning how to balance being a mother and a business owner. So far so good!
As you know, we’re big fans of Drinks by Ashia LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
This is a traveling mobile bartending company that has expanded into other areas such as serving, event rentals, and mixology courses. We specialize in giving a luxury experience indoors and outdoors. We are known for bringing the party whether it be at a wedding or private event! I would say our professionalism and customer service are what set us apart from others. I am most proud of the way we hire. I hire graduates directly from my mixology class and train them from the ground up to become excellent mixologists. It is super rewarding to give people the opportunity to make money and invest in themselves. Our bartending packages are listed on our website as well as a contact box for any questions you may have. Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
One of my favorite books is called Power of Yet by Devante Wynn. It is super motivational.
