Today we’d like to introduce you to Minister Zay. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Starting ‘Stay Humble, Stay Hungry’ Clothing was not as easy as it may seem. With starting the brand Thomas obtained multiple no’s with ideas he created. He didn’t allow sleeping in his car or not having others clearly see the vision to stop what he had planned for his life. When first getting started to help build the momentum and fund his dream Zay began to sell water, attended events, built his relationships and didn’t allow those no’s to stop him in any way.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Growing up in North Philadelphia enduring many challenges it hasn’t always been a smooth role. Minister Zay faced many challenges in life and was incarcerated at the age of 14 due to a gun charge. During this hardship, he began to lose family, and friends which forced him at a young age to not only motivate himself but work on motivating other individuals who may have faced the same dilemmas.

With two roads in front of him Thomas realized quickly that it was time to humble himself and make some positive changes. He decides to put that same humbleness add it with some high faith and changes the narrative for others like him.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
‘Stay Humble, Stay Hungry’ Clothing was launched in Spring of 2017. HMBL is an apparel brand that represents living in your truth and being humble within the things you do! What was once an idea is now rapidly growing into a worldwide apparel brand.

Zay has successfully managed to operate a storefront in Willow Grove Mall which expanded him to new heights landing him another storefront location in Philadelphia’s own popular shopping center The ‘Fashion District.’ Thomas has also been able to get a plethora of influencers & celebrities in ‘Stay Humble, Stay Hungry’ Apparel from Moneybagg Yo, Queen Naija, A Boogie With Da Hoodie, Asian Doll, and more!

Thomas is most proud of the opportunity to be able to change his environment all by humbling his heart. He has been able to accomplish so much; obtaining an array of awards; including an award from CBS. He was also recognized by the mayor, as well as winning The ‘Best Small Business’ Award. One of his greatest accomplishments to date is being able to inspire the youth & the community while partnering with an array of schools to spread love & positive messages.

Minister Zay is always willing to work and collaborate with others, he is in the process of searching for brand ambassadors and individuals to connect with on his upcoming ‘HMBL World’ Tour kicking off in Atlanta Georgia, this February.
