Today we’d like to introduce you to Sasha Yaasir.
Hi Sasha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Well I got kicked out on Jan 1 of 2022, yes it was literally on New years, me and my mom at the time was not getting along. I moved to New Orleans because my dad said he could help me figure it out but little did I know he didn’t have it all figured out either. long story short one of my dad’s friends took me in and I wanna say around the 4th day I started to get comfortable at her home, she came in my room and asked me a series of questions. “What do you want to do, something we can be proud of?” My son plays the drums that’s his niche, what’s yours?” Doing nails has been on my mind for a little bit and I was always an artistic person so I told her just that. The next day, literally, she says I have a gift for you. It’s a Kiss beginner acrylic nail kit thingy. 11 months later I have over 6 thousand followers and busy schedule full of clients ready to get their nails done by sashathecreator!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I think it’s safe to say it was pretty smooth for me. Minus the unhappy clients, but that’s a part of it! I was just so happy that my dreams of becoming an artist and being paid for my craft was becoming true!!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
So I’m an Atlanta Nail tech who specializes in alternative style nail art and who is known for my iconic duck nail looks. I’m most proud of working with one of the biggest influencers on Social Media right now AliyahInterlude aka aliyahcore. What sets me apart from others is I’m known for my unique fashion taste, my iconic nail looks, and my hilarious sense of humor. And if you can’t tell by now, I am a Leo!
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
YES everybody is not your friend!!!!
