Hidden Gems: Meet Angie De Aramburu of Le Blanc Teeth Whitening

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angie De Aramburu.

Hi Angie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I would start off by going as far back as my parents immigrating with me from my homeland Uruguay when I was a child. I very proud of my heritage and my parents instilled this everyday even here. Growing up I felt compelled to take opportunities that they sacrificed much for us to have. Something as simple as having doors to attend universities or the privilege to choose a career I found fulfilling.

As a teen, I actually enjoyed working, especially in customer service or sales. I’d even prefer going to work than going to a football game night. I worked for a SC based teeth whitening company back in 2012 who was soon to open in Buford, I was 16 at the time. I thank my first boss for giving me that chance at a young age. I admired her, she was a young business owner with multiple franchises. After getting my tech training and gaining years of experience, I branched out with my own business. Mainly I wanted to focus on a gentle process of whitening that targets a soft improvement once or twice a year. Improvement instead of perfection was my motto. While being a full-time student at GA State University, I was gaining my clients with time.

Fast forward to now, I have been supported by my amazing clients for many years! The majority of my clients are Latino, which to me is special because I have deep admiration for our culture and appreciate the support we all give back within our community. In addition, I became a spray tan artist. More than a beauty service, it promotes love for your skins health by offering an alternative to tan beds and suns UV rays. I absolutely am in love with the art involved behind spray tanning!

I wake up every day looking forward to doing something fulfilling- from boosting a smile to encouraging skins well being.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s never a smooth road for entrepreneurs.

Being a university student is 4 years of unbalance and stress. Having bills to pay, attending school full-time while trying to stay on top of a business – that was hard. Sometimes I made more income in my other part-time jobs than I did with Le Blanc so I was tempted to quit or to go into corporate. But I kept going, thanks to my supportive clients.

Covid was a huge set back. I put my service on pause for many months until it felt a little calmer or safer at least.

As you know, we’re big fans of Le Blanc Teeth Whitening and Tans. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Le Blanc is a brand that offers a gentle form of teeth whitening and custom imported spray tans in Gwinnett. One thing that I am told I stand out for is having a little over 10 years of experience using my form of teeth whitening, there is lots of trust instilled behind time and bonds you form with people. As far as my spray tans, I customize colors for all skin tones but I took my time to learn on what works best for my community of latinas.

Apart from my services at Le Blanc, as a Marketing graduate from GSU, I offer my branding services to small companies. From consulting to one on one classes, I love the outlet of creativity turning into methods of selling points which is what I offer to local businesses. So part of my brand is this branch that teaches and helps guide businesses into social media strategies made for them.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My main credit is my parents who have always supported me in every aspect of my life which is why I am where I am at today. My family in general, many are entrepreneurs and I look up to their work ethic.

My clients, they have stayed by my side for so long! Some for the whole 9 years that I was independent. They recommend me, they return, they’re supportive.

My husband plays a huge role as well. Sometimes I feel at a standstill and he is there to encourage me or uplift my spirit. He owns a remodeling business (EN bath and home), works extremely hard and seeing his work ethic has pushed me to do more than I thought I ever could. Having a supportive partner is extremely important when you are an entrepreneur.
