Today we’d like to introduce you to Fostering Hope Clothes Closet. They and their team shared their story with us below:
When a child is placed into foster care, they normally leave their home with nothing. They arrive to a foster home and the foster parents have to scramble to get the items that child needs. We decided to let the foster parent spend more time helping the child cope to their new life by letting us get clothing, shoes and other items for them. The caseworker or foster parent can message us and we get the child a new wardrobe.

We have been very blessed. We have a wonderful location and an amazing community who donates and helps support local families.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Fostering Hope is a collection of gently used and new clothing and shoes. We provide items to foster families, domestic violence shelters, school systems, homeless and families in need. When a child gets off the bus in 20-degree weather wearing shorts, the school can call us and they will have a new wardrobe before the end of school. If a mother takes her children to a domestic violence shelter in the middle of the night, they will have clothing the next day. We work hard to help people in their time of need.

We are run completely by women. We were started by a group of stay-at-home moms when we saw a need in the community.
