Today we’d like to introduce you to Nkenge Major.
Hi Nkenge, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was inspired by old-school breaking crews like Rock steady crew and dynamic Rockers.
In 2008, I started taking dance more seriously and mingle with the best dancers in Albany GA at the time.
In 2010, I started my own Crew called Flava-N-Motion Krew
With starting that crew, I mentor the youth and created a brotherhood with talented and inspirational people.
Now 2023, I teach, mentor and travel.
I love what I do it’s inspiring and the bonds I made and the network I’m still on ahhh.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a very rocky road… I come from a small city called Albany GA.
With this dance journey, the struggle had been support and opportunities.
People has said nothing will come of this.
People had said this would not work.
You won’t make any money off this.
You won’t change the world.
