Byron, it’s been too long since we last connected. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with our community again. Some readers might have missed our prior conversations, so maybe you can kick things off for us with a quick intro?
Byron Ford, owner of Coolness LLC and music recording artist. I am twenty six now and officially formed my company in 2017. My new album is out now under my label, Coolness Music/Coolness Records

Do you have any new music out and are you working on any new music now?
My new album just came out in December 2022. I worked on a lot of music over the past couple of years and already have some things that can be lined up for after the album. Right now the focus is my current album but there are other things going on that will come out later. A few projects are being thought about and we’ll do everything in an organized manner. Remember, there’s a lot going on and nothing going wrong.

How long does it take to make a song and what is the process like? Do you record a lot of songs and release immediately or hold them?
It doesn’t take that long depending on whether or not a song is written or if we just get in the studio and record. Lately I haven’t actually written some of the songs I’ve recorded. I’ll have beat and already have an idea in my head and just start recording and once you start it all comes together. It’s nothing to record a song or more in a night/day depending on whether or not I set a goal to get a certain amount of work done. I have a lot of songs recorded and we do record just to have a lot of songs ready and because there’s a lot to say so we make sure we get it out. Sometimes we release them shortly after being recorded but if there’s a specific thing we are working on we make sure we organize our songs according to the plan. My new album is out but there are several songs that we have that are not in the album. It’s a fun process.

Where do you mainly record and how long are you usually in the studio? What is the most amount of time you’ve didn’t spend in the studio at once?
I record right inside the Coolness Palace at Coolness Headquarters. I can look outside the studio and see a nice view of Coolness Island. There usually isn’t a set time or limit on how long I’m in there unless I say I’m going to do this one songs or finish these couple of things and that’s it. You have to have self discipline too when you say stuff like that because once you get in the studio and start creating it can go on and on and actually do like to go to sleep. There have been several times I’ve been in the studio for a while but I do remember one time I didn’t get back home until about 5/6 am. I think it was probably around 12 hours. We did a lot of talking during that time too.

In one or two words what is the key to success?
Kingdom Business

What feeling(s) do you have when you see others wearing your clothes or playing your songs?
One of the best feelings on earth. I created this and I enjoy it but having other people enjoy it just as much as you makes you want to keep doing it just because you see them smiling something. That’s how I operate, I enjoy seeing my people doing things just as much as doing things being created myself. When those same people wear my clothes and play my music it just adds to what is already there. That’s what we’re here to do, encourage and edify
