Today we’d like to introduce you to Sprout.
Hi Sprout, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started making music with my middle school friends on GarageBand. First song I was a part of, I was the vocal sample. I eventually started freestyling with my friends, this led me to rapping on chat rooms and finally making songs after my cousins gave me a mic and laptop. It’s hard to explain how I ended up where I currently am. Life is beautiful, I am here for a reason. I promise you will see me all over the world, I’m just getting started.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been smooth. It’s hard following your heart but I would never turn back. Some struggles have been people with hidden agendas trying to befriend me. It’s always someone trying to get over on you when you are a star. Another struggle was COVID. I had many shows and other things planned before the city shut down.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a musician. I don’t make one genre or a certain type of music. It’s me , my own world. I’m a rapper first but if you listen to me with a rapper in mind, You might be confused. I’m most known for my originality within my art and my personality on social media. I feel people are drawn to my weirdness. I hate fitting in musically but I love so many different styles of music. I also like saying things most people wouldn’t think to say. What sets me apart is my music. I put music first always and I make hits. Real original hits. I’m also connected to younger and older generations through my lifestyle and interests. I always hung out with older people and it translates into my music. I have listeners from little kids to elderly men and women.
