Hi CFN, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Starting at just 13 years old I started making music on my own, just writing of course, I had to build enough courage to actually get music recorded and put it out there to the world, a few years later started to get some of the songs I wrote years prior out to the world, wasn’t really good at the time, but as I started to get older and wiser my music progressed into what it is today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I wouldn’t say it was a smooth road at all, all of the ups and down and hard-fought battles I had to face financial wise to get any of my songs recorded was not easy. Usually, I would have 10-15 songs wrote and have no way to get them recorded, which led me to being inconsistent.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an MC/artist, I go by the name of CFN Quan and I’m really proud of being able to actually trademark my own name. Yes, there may be a lot of people who have the letters (CFN) I’m front of their name, but I feel as if I can achieve more and show more progress now, that’s what sets me apart from others also, my wordplay and versatility make me very different.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Honestly, during covid I wished I did a lot more when it came to my music, TikTok is a huge platform that billions of people were and still are on throughout the covid outbreak, I wish I used that to my advantage when it came to my music, I feel like a bunch of people could have seen or heard what I could bring to the table.
