Today we’d like to introduce you to Seher Haque.
Hi Seher, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started blogging at Simply in Control 10 years ago when I had a newborn. Becoming a mother for the first time is a whole different experience, and I wanted to share simple ways that helped me feel more in control of the situation. From organizing the home to time management tips to traveling tips with kids, I share it all on my Instagram page.
Over the years I’ve grown a community with like-minded individuals who want to simplify their lives and be productive. I’ve made some of my closest friends through Instagram, and we work on some pretty awesome projects together in the Atlanta Muslim community!
After blogging about organizing for a few years, I went on to get certified in it, and am now a Professional Organizer serving the North Atlanta area. It’s been a fun journey, and transforming people’s homes has been so fulfilling!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Growing a community on social media is not an easy task: it takes time, commitment and creativity. I learned quickly that on this platform the only way you can grow is by collaborating with other like-minded content creators. It’s been a lot of work, but the friendships that have been made along the way are truly priceless, and I have been able to grow a community that feels like family 🙂

At Simply in Control, we simplify life through organization. The home should be a haven of things you love, and decluttering is the start of the process to make your home into a sanctuary.
