Community Highlights: Meet LaTasha Abraham of Liberated Vision

Today we’d like to introduce you to LaTasha Abraham.

Hi LaTasha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Growing up, I was always a lover of community. I come from a military family, so I was raised around people from all walks of life. My most formative memories involved being surrounded by groups of people in a community aspect. Girl Scouts. Band. Harry Potter Book and Movie Releases. Bowling league. You name it. So, I naturally knew my career would involve direct work with people. In fact, my intention was to become an event coordinator and wedding planner after completing college.

I received my Master of Education in Professional Counseling from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and became a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I opened my own practice called Pierian Spring Counseling which serviced individuals seeking mental health therapeutic services. I always found it a huge privilege that so many people trusted me with the most intimate and vulnerable areas of their lives.

It was through this experience that I really noticed how many people felt suffocated from attempting to fit into the parameters of who they felt they were supposed to be. I wanted to serve people in another capacity outside of therapy and thus came Liberated Vision, a mindset and sensuality coaching service created to help people live their most fulfilling and authentic lives. With Liberated Vision, my goal is to walk beside each person as their professional hype woman reminding them that perception is power and we have the ability to change at any time.

When I was 17 years old, my older sister died in a car accident at the age of 23. Her passing has always reminded me of the uncertainty of our last days. Death never scared me because it’s the one thing in life I know is promised, but I was afraid of not living. I’ve always been intentional with feeling alive while I have the ability to do so. I think this may have been one of the reasons my high school superlative was “Most Outspoken”, haha.

I realized living looked different for everyone. My needs and desires didn’t always align with what was expected of me. Initially, I felt guilty for having desires that felt “outside of the lines”. It took a lot of internal work and reassurance that shame for being myself was no way to live. This is the same revelation I hope others can reach in their lives.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Is it really ever smooth? Most days, I feel like a hubcap riding in the fast lane, haha. As a business owner, my biggest struggle was simply not knowing what I didn’t know. There is a ton of information out there that is not always packaged and presented to you with a bow. Oftentimes, it takes making the personal choice to expose yourself to new experiences that you can learn from.

This same mentality applies to individuals looking for life changes. There is a struggle with the unknown. Growth requires pivoting and a willingness to learn from temporary discomfort. When we are able to tap into curiosity instead of feeling small about not knowing, then we give ourselves grace and space to blossom.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Liberated Vision is more than a business. It’s a lifestyle. As a mindset and sensuality coach, I empower people to live as their most authentic selves and achieve renewed vitality through self-exploration, sensuality, and intentionality. I utilize over a decade of professional experience and education to support individuals using proven methods.

Liberated Vision focuses on:

Mindset – Recognizing, questioning, and revising persistent patterns of thought
Sensuality – Developing a deeper and stronger connection to self through the use of the body
Life Design – Curating a way of living that yields fulfillment, freedom, and focus

We are all about liberating ourselves from “shoulds” and imposed expectations and living a more authentic and fulfilling life doing what you want. The company serves individuals who are ready to start living a life they choose instead of one they feel expected to live.

Liberated Vision’s signature framework is called “The Vitality Approach” where we navigate through Viewpoint, Vibes, Values, and Vision. This framework is utilized throughout our one-on-one coaching packages as well as in our digital course and live group coaching program.

One-on-one coaching provides people with a private and personal approach to gaining education, perspective, and self-led tools to live more authentic and intentional lives. Our digital course is a compact tool that will empower you to connect with yourself on a deeper level and live a life that is conducive to who you are. The course, Vitality is offered as both a self-led option or a live group coaching program that is hosted annually.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Speaking from both the experience of being an entrepreneur and a human, I want to acknowledge imposter syndrome. Imposter Syndrome most simply explained is doubting your own abilities. In a world where we now have so much access to the lives of others, it’s incredibly easy to engage in comparison (of other people’s experiences and of our own assumptions of their experiences).

However, it’s impossible to ever compare your story to another’s because there will never be anyone who has the exact same life experience as you. It’s what makes us beautiful as humans.

Our views of the world are so complex and crafted through our own understanding and meaning of things. Feelings of envy often arise when we see others living out values that are important to us that we may not be nurturing. I encourage all of us to remain curious like children. Explore, learn, grow, and expose yourself to ways of living that are different from your own. You can have anything you want in this world.

You are not an imposter, but you want to explore and be honest with yourself about your own values and how to nurture them. For example, a life of luxury will mean different things to different people depending on their values. The kindest gift you can give yourself is the nurturing of what matters most to you.
