Leila , can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Being a body positive influencer started when Covid came to life. I was always a confident plus size girl since the age of 16. I remember at a young age I hated myself because I was not fit sized appropriate for every one including friends and family. Every interaction was draining because the topic was about my weight and here I am just a 16 year old or younger girl getting use to her body and own skin. My influence on tik tok is to let every women and little girl feel like they can love their selves fully with out changing their appearance. Also I stand up for the women and little girls that can’t stand up for theirs selves.
Which speak out what I am creating today . A UNAPOLOGETICK brand. It’s to remind every one to be who you are and be unapologetic about it.
Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
Professionally I’m a collections agent . I am in school for business management so I can overall have all the right inquires and knowledge to run a business. The goal I have set is to be able to create a safe place for women and younger girls that aren’t happy in their own skin. I love being the person I needed when I was down at my lowest.
So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Tokyo West and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Tokyo.
Tokyo is amazing, I ran across her tik tok lives one evening and was just so wowed about her in her personality style and determination.
Once we met it was up from there.
Her creative skills is amazing .the ability for her to have a vision and to be able to make it is a great talent she has. Tokyo take what she goes through and place it in to her work. Everything she creates develops an emotion behind it and this is how I connected with her.
Determined to do her best in everything she sets her mind to . Determined to make her clients feel great is even better.
