Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan White.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Painting since age five and adding photography as a tool at age twelve, I have been on a quest to combine photographic imagery and painting. My methods are part of an artistic revolution that breaks from conventional approaches: a synthesis of drawing, painting, and photography to create a dream reality. I build the surface of each new work with photography, digital collage and conventional painting to make a memorable, lasting connection with the viewer that inspires and motivates. I’m never satisfied with simply photographing or painting what I see. I have to use layers of both to create emotional, intimate journey for the viewer. This relationship allows me the freedom to interpret a scene or subject with my own imagination rather than recycling what comes out of my camera. I hope to help the viewer to see as if in a dream and open their mind to many other possibilities. As the digital environment advances, new possibilities in creating art are born almost daily. It seems that the multimedia mindset that I’ve had for more than 25 years is finally at the forefront in today’s art world. By combining photographic imagery as a base with traditional painting and drawing techniques that employ the unique signature of the human hand, my artwork conveys the reality of my mind’s eye and hopefully allows the viewer to have a more personal connection.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We have always tried to separate ourselves from the competition because we are more than a photography studio: providing custom art in portraiture and many other subjects. During our 30 years, we have endured a few recessions, a housing crisis, a pandemic, etc and we have been very fortunate that our clients have valued our services and artwork.
As you know, we’re big fans of Bryan White Photography + Art. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a full-service art and photography studio located in Vickery Village in South Forsyth County – just north of Alpharetta, GA. Our niche is very well defined: we provide custom art, photographic and design services for a full range of clients throughout the southeast. Here is a list of some of our specialties: families, high school seniors, pets, commercial and custom art design, full-service framing and in-home consultations. Our clients are most excited about obtaining one-of-a-kind, exclusive artwork for their home or office that cannot be repeated. Our tagline is simple and straightforward: “Modern photography and art for families and the homes they love.”
What matters most to you?
Because everything that we deliver is custom, we always strive for the ‘wow’ factor – always going beyond the expectations of our clients. For 30 years we have embraced the ‘golden rule’ in all interactions with our clients.
