Life & Work with Chris Sumner

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Sumner.

Hi Chris, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always been into fashion. My father was in the Army so I’m a military brat and was able to grow up all over the world. Oklahoma, California, and Germany just to name a few, so I was able to experience many styles and fashion trends. In 2016, I went through a horrible divorce and my self-esteem was not good at all. I had a friend that invited me to an event and I took a bunch of pictures that later was posted and got a lot of attention on IG & FB. I was then labeled a Silver Fox Model… That led to me having my own podcast on a major streaming network… I guess you can say the rest is history.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been very hard… I had to fund everything myself from my videos, editing, pictures, travel, etc. But it’s my labor of love.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I guess it’s safe to say I’m known for my style when it comes to dressing. I’m kind of classic with a splash of urban appeal. I’ve also been blessed to style many people for black-tie events and weddings. I’m most proud of myself for using my pain to push me to my purpose. I would have never dreamed to have my own show ( Off The Cuff Podcast) on a national platform or having my photos go viral.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I think having a strong faith base and a very supportive family was the most important for my success. Family is everything to me.
