Life & Work with Erica East

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica East.

Hi Erica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been into skincare, growing up in the house with an older teenage brother dealing with acne. I was learning the ropes of having regimens and doing facials before I even hit puberty myself. So keeping skin clear & smooth was installed into me at a very early age and remains with me into my adulthood. Now it’s my career!

But this wasn’t always my plan right before I started my journey into the skincare, I was a UPS forklift employee, at my young age I knew warehouse wasn’t for me but the money was good so I stuck with that job for almost three years until I was harmed on the job. May sound crazy but I saw this as a blessing in disguise, while on medical leave it gave me time to realize what I really wanted to do, career-wise, I no longer wanted to work for a company I wanted to be the company! I started looking into professional skincare services and stumbled across a small cosmetology school in the Chicago suburbs. From there, I met my mentor Tamera D. Amazed by my work & professionalism, she instantly wanted me to me to be the Esthetician & waxer in her beauty bar there, I perfected in my craft not only that build my clientele & brand more, having one on ones with her to learn more & qualifying myself put me in positions I’m in today. Once I made my mark on my hometown in Chicago, I launched my skincare line because I knew I was onto better things I wanted to expand my brand.

Of course, I sold out my very first pop-up shop and now have it for my clients to request to keep up their skincare wherever it’s me not being available or so they can keep up with the regimen theirselves. Traveling back in forth from Chicago to Atlanta, I just made some good impressions because again was instantly hired to be an esthetician at a beauty bar in Midtown Atlanta. That’s when I knew I was good at what I love to do I was getting my recognition & many job offers. Now I’m three almost four years in the skincare field located in Buckhead, Atlanta. Never looking back on working for anyone but myself again. I feel great to have loyal customers back home & also in my new state, for that I’ll forever be grateful & always make sure my techniques and services will always be updated up to par. Esnatchedit doesn’t Just Stop here! The goal is to be World wide!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The only struggle I could think of would be knowing your season of your business. Some people don’t care about skincare and hair removal until. It gets warmer outside, so try to attract people into keeping up their self-care all year long. So your business isn’t slow during cold seasons

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

So from basic facials, customize clients facials, peels & acne treatment and more my clients can also book Brazilian waxes, Vajacials body facials I do it all. I specialize in extractions they are my favorite service to provide, I’m either snatching wax strips or snatching out blackheads. My clients really love that my facial results are INSTANT. One thing I can promise is you’ll leave me with unclogged pores.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5 -10 years, I see myself of course going back to school to tackle on the medical skin care field so one day I can open up my own med spa. Launching more skin care products to be on store shelves. Still working with my loyal clients but taking on more celebrity clients and people in the industry
