Daily Inspiration: Meet Brittany Morton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Morton.

Brittany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am originally from Nashville, TN. I have always been creative and outgoing. I started my first business when I was 12 years old, designing flyers and business cards for people in my neighborhood. By the time I was in high school, I was planning events and gathering people together. However, it wasn’t until I went to college at Alabama A&M University and became Miss Alabama A&M University is when I truly realized the gift I had to connect with others and use my passions to make wherever I went better. It was from there that I began to explore how my creative background and love for people could collide and I haven’t looked back since.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Honestly, my journey of becoming who I am and walking out my purpose has been the most challenging thing I have ever done. It’s required me to face my fears, heal from past experiences and continue to find the courage to believe in what I always don’t see. I’ve had to learn how to be ok with disappointing others and being misunderstood on my journey. Not to mention the sacrifices that come with going after my dreams. However, it is also been the most rewarding experience as well because I have accomplished things I never thought I could.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Where do I start? I am a leadership and branding coach. I am a speaker and pastor and I am also a creative entrepreneur. In more recent years, I have given myself permission to be more than just one thing. Over the last 12 years, I founded and have led a ministry for women called Saved in the City. What started upstairs at my job with five ladies has grown into an international organization that has impacted thousands of women’s lives. From hosting conferences and retreats to weekly prayer calls and challenges, it has been such a joy to use my gifts to not only bring women together but help them grow a closer relationship with God. With that experience, I now help other visionary leaders build their brands and create world-changing movements centered around impacting people. This is my life work and it’s what I’m most proud of.

What does success mean to you?
I define success by fulfilling your God-given destiny and purpose. When you discover what you’ve been created to do and courageously seek to accomplish that each and every day (maximizing your potential), you are truly successful!
