Today we’d like to introduce you to Tabitha Samayoa.
Tabitha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I opened the floor install business in 2017 because I believed in my husband’s quality of work. I knew what I could bring to the table to bring in more work. We ran the business out of our house for three years. Until one day, my husband and one of our loyal builders teamed up on me to open a flooring showroom. After looking into what it would take to open a retail floor showroom. I was up for the challenge. I found us a suite in Byron, GA where I signed a lease in March 2020 and then began to do our buildout. If I would of know what was secretly coming down the pipe that would shut down the nation, I would of never opened a storefront. What a hard time paying for a lease, I could not afford to buy lumber to do the buildout or displays due to the covid outbreak. It took us eight long hard months to finally open.
After opening, we had a lot of growing pains trying to get the company wheels moving. I spent most of our company money trying to find the right employees for the showroom. I could not believe how hard it was trying to find loyal people I could give a hat too. I knew I could not run Elegant alone. I had one lady Laura who ran the showroom while I ran the install and showroom from my house. Elegant had an amazing team. Then it all changed when Laura gave her two weeks after a year of working for me. She wanted to go to college full-time. About four months after she had left, we were able to move into our new location due to us growing out of our old. We left a 1750 sqft space to move into a 6000 space to call our new showroom at 1291 S Houton Lake Road Ste S Warner Robins, GA 31088. We have been growing in our new location for the past six months now. Elegant Flooring Showroom now sells not only floor covering but all tiles, kitchen cabinets, kitchen countertops, heated floors and the best customer service.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Covid, money, employees, rise of material prices, shipping cost, being someone not from here is very challenging in Houston county. I also have found the big box store who don’t put money back into our community hurts my business a little.

Locally owned woman business family ran. We focus on offering the best customer service to all. People like real estate brokerage, churches, retirement homes, walk-ins, remodels, builders, restoration and flips.
Any big plans?
Here at Elegant, we always have changes which leads to big changes. We are looking forward to being the #1 flooring showroom one day where everyone knows us and our location.
