Community Highlights: Meet Lady J of E.G.O. Entertainment Network

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lady J.

Hi Lady J, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started in the nonprofit sector when I launched my organization, No Limits Ministry Inc (based in Indianapolis, IN) that is designed to serve the homeless and families in need. I love to serve and from there, I wrote a book series about my life and that spread like wildfire which opened doors to me being interviewed on numerous radio and television shows in the US. This also created an opportunity for me to speak all over the US and create an interactive out-the-box mentoring program for at-risk youth and families for multiple local and national organizations. I launched the company Life Support Company LLC.

After doing many interviews and sessions, I was approached by a radio station that wanted me to have my own show. Once that took off, I was approached by someone who felt like I should have my own platform and I launched a radio station, JQLM RADIO (formerly JHM RADIO), which grew to 200,000 listeners in 86 countries in ten months. From there, I created E.G.O. Entertainment Network, a 6-division multimedia company to not only deliver a message to the masses but to open it up for others to do the same and to be a support system and launching pad for businesses, entrepreneurs, independent artists, and more. It consists of Radio (JQLM RADIO), TV (EGO TV), Magazine (EGO Magazine), PR/Management (EGO Entertainment Group), Events / Media Services, and News (EGO News). We serve all 50 states and cover events from community all the way up to national award shows and more. I began to develop close partnerships with individuals and platforms with many in Atlanta, GA and have several clients there (more than other states) and the rest is history!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh, absolutely not! LOL! Among other hardships, I have had to shut my businesses down three times since 2017. I restructured at the end of 2017 when I launched JQLM RADIO and then E.G.O. Entertainment Network. In 2018, I had to shut everything down due to a major family emergency for about two months and in 2019, I suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm which prompted the shutting down of all of my companies by my POA for almost two years as it was a long recovery. I wasn’t expected to make it, but each time, God allowed me to come back bigger, better, and stronger, and now I have had time to put people and things in place to keep things going in my absence, should that ever be the case again. I’m grateful.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
E.G.O. Entertainment Network is a multimedia production and service company established in 2017, comprised of several divisions, JQLM RADIO, E.G.O. MAGAZINE, EGO MANAGEMENT, EGO NEWS, and EGO TV. This company not only provides music, talk shows, and other entertainment with the highest levels of listener satisfaction in mind when it comes to radio but also provides support, advertising (radio, magazine, news, and television), event services, and other opportunities to help grow businesses and brands all over the world.

The company is known for its stellar service in providing pre-event promotional interviews, red-carpet & event coordination, and Live media coverage. The company has covered and interviewed some of the nation’s largest events and celebrities that include but are not limited to Sheryl Underwood, Marvin Sapp, Michael Colyar, The Oscars, Leandria Johnson, Brian White, Patty Spitler, The Stellar Awards, Mr. Talkbox, and many more. The company has coordinated red-carpet events for brands like DP Demarco Plays and the Gospel Choice Music Awards. It has had the honor of providing these services to community events as well, as its motto is “Everyone is a Star!” It seeks to continue to be a platform that builds relationships with other brands and individuals that strengthen its ability to provide access to spaces and resources most individuals only dream of to help build communities, brands and spread messages everywhere. This includes mainstream forms of media as well.

I think being a servant first, and providing a service second, is what sets us apart. We genuinely want to grow with others, support visions that align with ours or that benefit communities and individuals that are focused on purpose in addition to making our services affordable for everyone in order to make what seems impossible possible.

I am most proud of my ability to develop intentional and beneficial relationships with individuals and organizations across the world. It is the driving force behind being able to create synergy and being an example of working together instead of being in unhealthy competition with others. We are stronger together and I have been able to develop a team of people across several states so that we are able to serve outside of our comfort zones.

From a supportive all-inclusive service platform to media coverage to interviews, features, and more, we offer a myriad of services. Whether someone wants to join or syndicate a show on radio, broadcast on the television network, run advertisements on air or on tv, including other major mainstream channels, to being interviewed or featured, to securing a Public Relations Specialist or wanting event hosting and coordinating services or media coverage complete with customized footage, photos, and more… we have something for everyone. We currently have openings for guest writers for the News blog, are accepting more clients for our Management division for those needing a PR or Business Manager and those who would like to be on-air talent or would like to syndicate their radio/podcast show. Additionally, we are accepting content for the television network that is due to fully launch this May! We offer more than most at affordable rates and with quality service in mind coupled with seeing how we can help our clients grow.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Oh absolutely! First, I have to thank God because without Him, I wouldn’t have the ability to do any of this, Behind him, I must thank our supporters, listeners, readers, and clients. Without them, we would not be who we are or where we are. Our top supporter of the platform overall is a wonderful lady named Cheryl Northern LeGrand of Knightdale, NC. Shout out to her. My team is awesome as well. Michelle Jones is a stellar red carpet and event host/interviewer. She travels everywhere and kills it every single time. Pamela Williams-Gupton, Rhonda Thompson, Athena Salisbury, Ranada Dalton, Destry Carter aka “Troche,” John Fitzgerald, Michael Miller, Leslie Hodge, Tanya Northcross, Shan White, Lexi Jones, Michael Hanna, Joseph Golden, Terry Clayton, and many more are a part of our events team, magazine, and/or radio division. They all have and do play a part in making the platform what it is. I have to shout out Kimberly Kent who has been there from the very beginning and was my first on-air personality. She has since become a partner with JQLM RADIO. She was instrumental in bringing awareness to the platform and listeners for our Gospel division. I also have to give credit to Mark Brooks who was our Chief Engineer for a few years and who was instrumental in making sure the on-air talent and Live off-site interviews were on-point. Lexi Jones has been instrumental in my success as a financial/business coach. She is the bomb! There are so many more people I could talk about but then we’d be here all day and I can’t even remember everyone off the top of my head. They know who they are and just know that I appreciate you all…. there are no words.
