Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Yang.
Angel, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am very artistic and have always been interested in photography, fashion, and business. The highlight of my day is I would go anywhere and dress very fashionably. People would comment on my clothes and ask me where I got all the stuff. I would also do photoshoots with my friends. I would be their stylist and photographer. I made them look like a star and came right out of all the fashion magazines. This sparks my interest in becoming an image consultant. I think fashion is not just the clothes you wear; it is also about who you are as a person and the confidence and strength you have as an individual. I started my social media business as a fashion stylist about a year ago. My goal is to use fashion to help people become the best version of themselves.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, It has not been a smooth road. I have always thought I needed to take perfect steps, but I realized it is all about trial and error. Starting a business is more about consistency; sometimes, taking messy steps is okay. I have had times when I felt that this journey is not meant for me, but I have always told myself that no matter what the outcome is, I have to keep following my passion and chase my dream.

I am an image consultant/ fashion stylist. My work is about bringing out the beauty of each individual and helping them find their confidence in themselves. I really care about my clients, and I also love to get to know them for who they are. I love the fact that I can use fashion and styling to help them become the better version of themselves. What is unique about my work is that along with my passion for photography, at the end of my session, I offer an editorial photoshoot for my clients. I loved to make them look like they just came right out of a fashion magazine. It is very empowering to see people realizing that they are so unique and beautiful and I am incredibly proud of using my artistic gift to capture each individual’s beauty and their own unique life story. What does success mean to you?
Success, to me, is about becoming the best version of yourselves. It is about knowing who you are as an individual, knowing your strengths, values, boundaries, and limits, and pursuing the passion your heart feels no matter how many struggles or failures you have encountered. Accomplishments and recognition are wonderful things in life, but that should not define success. I see success as having a sense of self, following and pursuing your dream and passion, and never giving up.
