Meet Tisha Morris of Morris Financial Group, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tisha Morris.

Hi Tisha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My story is simple… I want to create generational wealth for my family. My mother came from Jamaica when she was 14 and she’s been on her own since she was 17… can you imagine! Single mother of three, grandmother of three, and the foundation for the Morris Family, so, I consider myself back up for the foundation, making sure our rock remains intact. I take responsibility because I’ve always been one of my mother’s kids to take life by the reins. I knew from a very young age that I was going to be successful and I knew that, with that, my family will be successful.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wish it was an easy road but I’ve been hitting stumps since the very beginning. I can say that I strive in unsteady and unpredictable environment, so if this task is suited for anyone, it’s Tisha Morris.

From the beginning, the battle has been financing because I did not think it would cost so much to start a business, but I was sadly mistaken. I’ve poured more into my business than my everyday bills, but one thing is for sure, the return is worth the hurdles. Another struggle has been exposure, in today’s day, social media is EVERYTHING, so I had to hire social media managers to grow my audience, which again leans into finances, so in all, make sure you have your money up before you begin your business venture.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business started as an idea and a vision for my family because I’ve always wanted nothing short of the best for the generations to come. I come from a very small but very inclusive family, so we’ve always taken care of each other and I wanted to create a foundation where everyone is taken care of; especially when it comes to financial structure – so I started Morris Financial Group by launching my first product, Insurance. I was able to grow my financial firm by adding services like tax preparation, retirement solutions, and career development. I plan on adding real estate within the next two years, but for now, my goal is to gain exposure and hire a partner to help grow this tangible vision. The one takeaway that I want every viewer to know is I’m in this business for one reason and one reason only, to educate and protect the assets of people in need.

What’s next?
The biggest change is the expansion of Morris Financial Group and the marketing for the Financial Group. I am hiring social media managers to grow our audience, get people involved and educated about their financial structure. I am planning workshops to talk to families, answer questions and pitch ideas to get more people involved. I don’t have plans on being a Fortune 500 company, but I do plan on being there for my clients by answering the hard questions; that’s how I define success!
