Hi Dulce, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 2013 after going through an emotionally difficult stage, I searched for a way to get ahead by performing some activity that would allow me to keep my mind busy on something positive. Pastry and confectionery was precisely this wonderful art that little by little brought all my attention and energy. Over time, I discovered that I had a special talent for creating my desserts and what started as a hobby became my passion and a profitable business which is today known in Atlanta as Dulce’s Desserts.
We are specialists in the design and preparation of desserts for social and corporate events. We are distinguished by the quality and unmatched taste of a product made at home, we take care of every detail so that this delicate dessert is always at the top of the celebration.
I love baking, decorating and photographing every one of my creations, but without a doubt the most beautiful of all this is the response I receive from all my clients, the emotion and admiration with which they see my work is simply something priceless; it fills of joy my heart…
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I must recognize that this road has not been easy; As a mother of three beautiful girls, one of the greater challenges has been learning to balance family and work, But I know I’m getting better.
Without a doubt in each step that I take it represents a challenge… This business demands a learning constant, stay day with the best techniques, always be attentive to the trends and not only that, you have to be in charge of creating, designing, quoting, promoting, distribution, deliveries, finances, cleaning in short this is a job that teaches you order, discipline, focus and tolerance to frustration. But if this is what you love, keep going and don’t stop until you achieve your goal.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We design, bake and decorate personalized desserts for all kinds of events. We are specialists in dessert tables for social and corporate events.
Our signature dessert is chocoflan, and our customers also love the masterpieces made of chocolate, such as edible lipstick, shoes, etc.
I believe that the creativity and special care we have for details, besides of an exceptional flavor, are what makes us different from other businesses.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
When I was a child, I talked too much; I always liked being the leader of the group and remember that since then, I used to be very creative, that is a skill that has always accompanied me, order and discipline I learned from my mother, but character and patience from my dad.
