Today we’d like to introduce you to Willie Mack.
Hi Willie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a singer-songwriter from right here in Atlanta, Georgia. I’ve been working professionally in music since 2014 I released my first project in January 2022 entitled Handsome.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course, there have been external struggles, but I believe the biggest struggles that I faced were internal. Knowing which way to go, knowing who to trust and who not to trust, really trust. Following my gut, and trusting myself completely.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
The music that I make is a combination of all the things I loved listening to growing up. I love tight, crisp, harmonies, and I love lyrics that really tell a story. I use my voice to help tell that story I convey a certain emotion in the way that I sing a particular note or do a certain rift, when you listen to my music, I want it to really feel you up I want it to reach all of your senses. I like to make my music feel like an experience. I want each song to take you on a ride.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I recently picked up the ukulele. I wanted one for so long and got one for Christmas, so I’ll be playing it live at shows pretty soon, so be on the lookout for that, lol.
