Rising Stars: Meet Tristan Langhorne

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tristan Langhorne.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started shooting when I was 14 years old, and I haven’t put the camera down since!

It’s taken a lot of hard work to get to where I’m at today. I’d say the most important thing to get to this point is consistently doing great work. I’m a firm believer that if you do good work, good things will come. I’ve held that belief and mentality for my entire career, and it’s the reason why I’m here today.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Outside of the normal small business struggles, I’d say it’s been a smooth and fulfilling road. I try not to focus on the negatives too much and always find the lesson in whatever I’m going through. So, even when things aren’t always going my way, I can still find something positive to take away from the situation.

I’m just being happy to be alive, doing what I love for a living!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in commercial photography and videography. I’ve worked with the likes of Pharrell Williams, T.I., Walmart, UPS, I mean the list goes on!

I wouldn’t say I’m necessarily known for one client or project in particular, I’m just known for who I am and my work.

I’d say the work I’m most proud of is whatever I did most recently. I always make it a competition to outdo myself in every project I take on. I feel like there’s always something new to try out and expand my style and what I’m capable of as an artist.

What sets me apart from others is that I do 100% myself every time. I don’t keep up with any trends or try to shoot like someone I admire. I just do what I think looks cool in my own way. I know that if I do me, then nobody else can do me better than me.

Any big plans?
Right now I’m most excited to release my clothing line and travel the country for work this summer. I have a lot of big and exciting shoots planned for NYC and LA, I really can’t wait to go there and give it my all. I have a lot of amazing and game-changing ideas that I can’t wait to execute with my clothing line, I don’t give away too much information about what I’m up to in the future because a lot of it is confidential projects.
